Our! Fallen Heroes

What is your take on the world of sports! As the supposed heroes that
we acknowledge all the time in sports are letting us down, with the
numerous scandals that tail their every heroic achievement. Starting
with Lance Armstrong, on how he deceived the world for many years.

Match Fixing by various football teams, get people questioning? Did
all the teams get to the top by share hard work or they paid their
way?!!

The Chinese athlete Liu Xiang fell due to an injury he had been
nursing, people are still thinking it was all a lie though

For every action of every great sports man must there always be reason
to question their success?! And are they letting down a generation
that is up and coming! down?

The issue of doping and morality in sports has become a major bone of contention in recent times.

I am old school in orientation and strongly believe that sports men and women should be positive role models but the advent of sports science means there really is a thin line between what is consider fair and cheating. Lance Armstrong is only a scape goat for the obvious... Everyone is cutting corners to gain an advantage, and the real question is should science be allowed to influence sport? Plasma shaking or blood turning is now allowed in football...it means new are ways being effected to cut corners and get injured players back on the pitch faster. This was also illegal before! Where does it really stop! My take: leave sports like we used to know it...as sports!!!

Its heart breaking for all the wannabe athletes that hit the gym, and go on for humongous amount of time training, to be like or better than some record breaking athlete only to learn that the so called hero made it by beating human nature, through scandalous means!

These few bad eggs are making all the many good eggs look bad! The remarkable swimmer from China Ye Shiwen was made to look bad during the Olympics, asking if she was doping, due to previous happenings in which every athlete that did anything great and was investigated it has always been found times without number that there’s something fishy about their success.

So the question racing through the people who no longer believe in the sports men of today is Usain Bolt really Bolt or there’s something behind his speed
